11 years ago today, I officially
started Liberty Pooch —
and it’s also Poyo’s birthday. 🤍
This day has become a little
bittersweet over the past few
years since he passed. He’s
The heart behind everything I
built, and it’s impossible to separate
him from this journey.
Alongside That feeling, though,
is so much pride in what Liberty
Pooch has become — and deep
gratitude for every single person
who’s supported us along the way.
Looking back through 11 years of
photos brought out every emotion.
More than anything, I feel incredibly
lucky — to have built a life doing
something I truly love, and to still
feel that same excitement every
time I meet a new dog.
What I never expected was how
many clients would turn into lifelong
friends. I’ve had the privilege of
watching not just your dogs grow up,
but your lives too — and that means
more to me than I can put into words.
Thank you to each and every one
of you who trusted me with your
beloved pets, believed in my vision
of what pet care should be, and
supported me even when I didn’t
fully believe in myself. I am forever
grateful.
Of course, Liberty Pooch wouldn’t
be what it is today without our
incredible pack leaders — past
and present — who have shown
up in every kind of weather, through
the highs and lows, and loved these dogs like their own.
Auntie Bekah — you’ve been with
us for more than half of Liberty Pooch’s journey. You are an invaluable
part of this team and such a
special person. We (and the dogs)
are so lucky to have you in our lives,
and we’re grateful for you every
single day.
Auntie Kaylea — I can’t believe
you’re already approaching two
years with us. Watching your growth,
both as a pack leader and as a person, has been amazing. We’re so proud of
you — keep shining.
And last but not least, my husband,
my partner, my rock — Robert.
These 11 years haven’t always been easy, especially the last two, but none of
this would exist without your love and support. You have such a natural, almost magical connection with the dogs (and yes, the neighbourhood cats too). Living and working with your wife isn’t always
simple, but I hope you know how deeply appreciated you are — for everything you do for me and for Liberty Pooch.
Here’s to the next chapter of LP. 🐾
